| Draft Pick | 2011 NFL Team | 2011 NFL Mock Draft Player |
|---|---|---|
Detroit Lions | Brandon Harris, CB, The U The Lions are progressing and are a very young team and defense. I think they could go a couple of options such as get younger and defensive line but I have them taking the top available CB in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. I have Harris ranked as my 3rd CB in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft but I think he is still a very good cover corner.
St. Louis Rams | Julio Jones, WR, ‘Bama Jones is a top 15 value and has been seen that way since he was a freshman in college. The Rams got a young QB and now have a young offensive coordinator in Mcdaniels. I think that the Rams get the 2nd best WR in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft is huge for them and huge for Mcdaniels.
Miami Dolphins | Ryan Mallet, QB, Arkansas The Dolphins may want to give Henne another year with a new offensive coordinator. However, I think with Henne still there they could still take Mallett and bring him along behind Henne as a backup. I don’t think that Henne should be a full time starter in the NFL but he should be a good backup.
Jacksonville Jaguars | Justin Houston, OLB, Georgia The Jaguars are in a pretty good division with good RB's and a pretty good QB named Peyton. Houston, is the real deal as a Linebacker and he and Von Miller are the top Linebackers in this 2011 NFL Draft.
New England Pats (OAK) | Cameron Jordan, DE/DT, California Cameron Jordan will most likely play a 3-4 End at the next level. He has the size to stop the run but he is also pretty quick on his feet. Most likely the Patriots will try to trade down out of this pick but if they stay Jordan is a good player and worth the pick
San Diego Chargers | Von Miller, DE/OLB, Texas A&M Von Miller is my 2nd rated linebacker and he fills a need for the Chargers. Ever since losing Merriman they have not had that beast rush linebacker and I think the Miller has the ability to come in and be that type of player.
NY Giants | Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin I am not sure who the top OT will be in the 2011 NFL Draft but as of now I have the top OT being Carimi in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. The Giants have struggled on their offensive line against good inner division pass rusher so they need to improve their line. Other options with this pick in the 2011 NFL Mock Draft would be Mike Pouncey or a defensive lineman.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Ryan Kerrigna, DE, Purdue The Buccaneers had a very good season and they need to build on that. They are in a very tough division with good QB play. I think they need to continue to pressure the QB so I have them taking one of the top pass rushing DE's in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft. Floyd is the 3rd rated WR in my 2011 NFL Mock Draft. He, like Jones and Green should have a very successful NFL career. He is a gifted WR with all the talent in the world. I think he will be a first round pick in the 2011 NFL draft.
KC Chiefs | Corey Liuget, DT, Illinois Corey Liuget is a good interior player with good skills. The Chiefs played very well on the defensive side of the ball and the run game this year. I think that you cannot have too many good defensive lineman and this pick would prove that.
Indianapolis Colts | Mike Pouncey, C/G, Florida Peyton Manning didn't look great in some big games this year because he didn't have time to throw the ball. The main reason for this was his offensive line play and lack of running game. Pouncey helps with both of these problems. He is the top rated Guard in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft and has the ability to come in and start right away similar to his brother. Look for the Colts to snag him up and help build their line from the inside out in this 2011 NFL Mock Draft.
