| NFL Mock Draft Pick | NFL Team | 2010 NFL Mock Draft Player |
|---|---|---|
San Francisco 49ers | Earl Thomas, S, Texas Earl Thomas is a big time player. He should be a first round pick come April. Thomas can make up for a lot of mistakes in the secondary. Thomas is a top DB prospect in my 2010 NFL mock draft.
Seattle Seahawks (from Denver) | Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State Dez Bryant is the top rated WR in my 2010 NFL mock draft. He is not extremely fast but has great hands and plays the ball in the air very well. He will be a top 15 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Seahawks were trying very hard to get Brandon Marshall and when that fell through, Dez Bryant may have just fallen to them. If Bryant is on the board at 14, look for the Seahawks to take a shot with him.
New York Giants | Dan Williams, DT - Tennessee Volunteers Dan Williams had a very good year and he really improved his 2010 NFL draft stock. Williams is very talented an hasn’t received a lot of attention because of Suh and McCoy. Don’t let that fool you, he is very good and should be a top 15 pick in the upcoming 2010 NFL draft. The Giants really need help on the defensive side of the ball. They had a great pick-up in Antrel Rolle and now get some help for their D-Line. Their D-Line was so strong a few years ago when they won the Super Bowl and since then it hasn't been as good. Look for the Giants to bulk up their D-Line if Williams is still available in the 2010 NFL mock draft.
Tennessee Titans | Jason Pierre-Paul, DE - South Florida Bulls Pierre-Paul had a great year and his NFL stock really jumped. There are a few other options here but he is very athletic and will help the Tennessee DL. The Titans could really use Pierre-Paul, who is probably the most athletic DL in the 2010 NFL draft.
San Francisco 49ers (from Carolina) | CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson Spiller is electric on the field. This may be a little high to take him but he can help out the 49ers in so many ways. I know they need a OL however I think they can get a good lineman with their pick in the second round and I don't think Spiller would make it that far.
Pittsburgh Steelers | Devin McCourty, CB - Rutgers Scarlet Knights I like the Steelers to draft CB Devin McCourty from Rutgers. At 4.34, McCourty ran the fastest 40 at the combine. I think he is neck and neck with Kyle Wilson from Boise State. Like Wilson, McCourty had a great Senior Bowl and I think he would be able to help out the Steelers secondary immediately.
Atlanta Falcons | Everson Griffen, DE - USC Trojans Griffen is a beast for a DE. He has very good speed off of the edge. The Falcons filled a big hole by signing CB Duanta Robinson and now they need help on the DL. John Abraham is getting older and isn't the player he once was. So far Jamaal Anderson has been a BUST. Griffen is a great DE prospect in my 2010 NFL mock draft.
Houston Texans | Kyle Wilson, CB/PR - Boise State Broncos Wilson had a great week at the Senior Bowl. He has great speed and showed great ball instincts. Wilson will be able to improve his 2010 NFL Draft stock at the 2010 NFL combine. The Texans need a CB very badly and Wilson should be able to help them out. The Texans have a very good front 7 but need help in the secondary. With the departure of Duanta Robinson, the Texans will need to spend their 1st round pick on a CB. Wilson should also be able to help in the return game.
Cincinnati Bengals | Jermaine Gresham, TE - Oklahoma Sooners He is one of my big question marks in the 2010 NFL mock draft. He was a lock for a first round pick last year and came back and got hurt. He is still a great talent but how early will someone take a chance on him. Gresham is the top rated TE in my 2010 NFL mock draft. This may be a little high for the Bengals to take him but they need a big time TE for Carson Palmer to throw to.
New England Patriots | Jared Odrick, DT - Penn State Nittany Lions Odrick should be a mid to late first round pick in next weeks NFL draft. The Patriots really need some help on the edge. Last year Tully Banta Cane led the team in sacks with 10. Odrick is a monster on the outside and should really be able to help out New England.
