| NFL Mock Draft Pick | NFL Team | 2010 NFL Mock Draft Player |
|---|---|---|
St. Louis Rams | Arrelious Benn, WR - Illinois Fighting Illini Benn has good size at 6'2. He had a down year and it really dropped his 2010 NFL draft stock but take a look at the team he played on. I think Benn will be a very good NFL WR and that is why I have him as the 3rd rated WR in my 2010 NFL mock draft.
Detroit Lions | Mike Johnson, OL - Alabama Crimson Tide Johnson helped pave the way for Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram. I really like Johnson and think he will be an outstanding lineman in the NFL. He should really be able to help protect the Lions franchise QB. Right now they have a lot of weapons but no time to get it to them. Johnson should be taken within the first 2 rounds of the 2010 NFL mock draft.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Brandon LaFell, WR - LSU Tigers LaFell is a big time receiver. He has a good frame (6'3, 205 lbs.) and I would like to see him put on 10-15 pounds. He has a chance to be a very good WR at the next level. Look for LaFell to fall no further than the 2nd round in the 2010 NFL mock draft.
Washington Redskins | Ryan Matthews, RB - Fresno State Bulldogs Matthews had a very good combine and has really been climbing up 2010 NFL mock draft boards. I think Portis is on the back end of his career and they don't have a solid option in Washington. Matthews should be a top 2 round pick in the upcoming 2010 NFL draft.
Kansas City Chiefs | Jared Odrick, DT - Penn State Odrick may climb higher than this but he is a very athletic player who should be taken in the first or second round of the 2010 NFL mock draft. The Chiefs really need a productive DT. Odrick should be able to help out the KC defensive line. He is very athletic for his size.
Seattle Seahawks | Brandon Ghee, CB -Wake Forest Ghee is a very good corner who will help them out in pass coverage. Ghee is a second to third round pick in my 2010 NFL mock draft. Seattle uses this pick to bulk up their defensive secondary. Ghee had a great combine which really helped his 2010 NFL draft stock.
Cleveland Browns | Arthur Jones, DT - Syracuse Orange Jones was the best player on a much improved Syracuse team. The Browns just traded away a DT so if Odrick falls to them, they would draft him.
Oakland Raiders | Colt McCoy, QB, Texas This pick is very up in the air for me. First off, you can't predict what the Raiders will do and there are so many questions surrounding Colt McCoy. The Raiders need a QB very badly and McCoy should be considered at this pick. The kid is a winner and you can't teach that.
Buffalo Bills | Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama Cody is a monster in the middle. He weighed in at 370 lbs. at the Senior Bowl but was back down to 356 lbs. at the combine. The Bills are switching to a 3-4 defense so Cody may be the perfect fit for Buffalo. Cody is one of the best true NT in the 2010 NFL mock draft.
New England Patriots(Jacksonville) | Navorro Bowman, LB - Penn State Bowman is very athletic for his size. He is awesome when playing the run and is pretty good in coverage too. I think he will be taken in the first 2 rounds. The only thing holding teams back are his off the field issues. As for his on the field skills, there are not many questions. He is just another great LB from LB U.
Tampa Bay (Chicago) | Ricky Sapp, DE - Clemson Tigers The Tampa Bay defense needs help on many levels. Sapp is good player for them and if he falls this far, they will take him. Sapp is a good prospect in my 2010 NFL mock draft. I could see Sapp sneaking into the first round.
Miami Dolphins | Brandon Spikes, ILB - Florida Spikes has falling a little in my 2010 mock draft. I still think he will be a dominate player in the NFL because of his size. He also runs very well for how big he is. The Dolphins will release Joey Porter and will need another big time linebacker. Spikes will be able to help out the Dolphins defense.
