2010 NFL Mock Draft (5 Full Rounds) 03/08/2010
| 2010 NFL Mock Draft Pick | NFL Team | 2010 NFL Mock Draft Player |
|---|---|---|
St. Lous Rams | Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma Sam Bradford is the number 1 rated QB in my 2010 NFL Mock Draft. I love his size and think he could put on about 10-15 pounds. I think he is very smart and will be an elite QB in the NFL for a long time. Sometimes I wonder if playing in a wide open, generic college system will come back to hurt him? He was always in the shotgun with 4 or 5 receiver sets. Also, how he will recover from his shoulder injury? With that being said it is very clear that the Rams need a QB. I think Suh is the number 1 prospect in the draft but if they draft a DL, they will be 3-13 again. They need to draft a playmaker at the QB position and I think Bradford is their guy.
Detroit Lions | Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska Ndamukong Suh is an absolute force in the middle. He is the most dominate player in college football, offensive or defensive. He just man handles offensive lines. He should be one of the top picks in the 2010 NFL Mock draft. He, along with Gerald McCoy are my top 2 defensive players in the 2010 NFL mock draft. He is the best prospect in the draft and the Lions should be extremely happy if the Rams decide not to pick Suh.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma Gerald McCoy is a great athlete. He is one of the main reasons that the Sooner defense is so good this year. I think he is a top 3 pick and that’s why I have him so high in my 2010 NFL mock draft. McCoy has a great motor and moves very well for a guy his size. Like the Lions, Tampa Bay will benefit greatly if the Rams decide not to pick Suh with the number 1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Washington Redskins | Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame Jimmy Clausen is the 2nd rated QB in my 2010 NFL Mock Draft. He had a very good junior year and decided to declare for the 2010 NFL draft. He put up monster stats and he has a great frame to play in the NFL for a long time. I think he has a few advantages over Bradford heading into the 2010 NFL draft. He played for Charlie Weis (who runs a pro style offense). He has a rocket arm but also throws the deep ball very well. He has a good throwing motion with a quick release. He is an elite prospect in my 2010 NFL mock draft. With that being said many scouts think that Bradford has a higher ceiling.
Kansas City Chiefs | Russell Okung, OT, Ok State I have Okung rated as my top OL in my 2010 NFL mock draft. He is a great lineman and has a great future ahead of him. Kansas City has talent on the offensive side of the ball and by drafting Okung with their first pick the 2010 NFL mock draft they should get some time for Cassel to get the ball in their hands.
Seattle Seahawks | Trent Williams, OT - Oklahoma Sooners Trent Williams is a great O-line prospect in the 2010 NFL mock draft. He had a great combine and has jumped to my number 2 over all tackle. A lot of people have Campbell from Maryland rated higher but I still think he is raw. Williams is a much more polished player. He is very athletic for his size. He will give instant help to the Seattle OL.
Cleveland Browns | Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama McLain has really improved his NFL draft stock this year. I had him ranked 2nd or 3rd in my 2010 NFL Mock Draft LB class before the season. Now I think he has surpassed them all and that is why he is my number 1 2010 NFL Mock Draft LB in this 2010 NFL mock draft. He is the most dominate player on a National Championship team. He is very smart and will be a great player in the NFL. The Browns really need a “QB” for their defense and that is exactly what McClain would be. Joe Haden is a possibility here but I think McClain is a special player that the Browns need to consider in the 2010 NFL draft.
Oakland Raiders | Bruce Campbell, OT - Maryland Campbell is a very good OL and proved he is very athletic by putting up great numbers at the combine. His skills are somewhat raw right now but I think he will be a top 10 pick in the upcoming 2010 NFL draft. He has great size and he uses his hands very well. The Raiders need a OT and Campbell is their guy. The Raiders can’t screw this up…can they?
Buffalo Bills | Brian Bulaga, OL - Iowa Hawkeyes The Bills may think about trading up to grab one of the 2 QBs, Clausen or Bradford. If they don't I think they will take an OL. First they need to replace the hole left by Jason Peters when he went to Philadelphia. Next, they have to replace Brad Butler, starting right tackle who retired to pursue a career in politics. I think Bulaga is a very good lineman. He should be a first round pick. He is the best OL to come out of Iowa since R.Gallery. Bulaga is an elite line prospect in my 2010 NFL mock draft.
Jacksonville Jaguars | Eric Berry, S, Tennessee Vols I think Berry is one of the most talented players in the 2010 NFL mock draft. With that being said, he will be taken in the top 10 picks in the 2010 NFL Mock Draft. Jacksonville needs help on the defensive side of the ball and Berry will be an instant fix in the secondary. The Jaguars signed Aaron Kampman to help them on the D-Line and drafting Berry will help them in the secondary.
Denver Broncos (from Chicago) | Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State Dez Bryant is the top rated WR in my 2010 NFL mock draft. He is not extremely fast but has great hands and plays the ball in the air very well. He will be a top 15 pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Broncos will trade Brandon Marshall and will need a big time receiver. Dez Bryant is their guy in the 2010 NFL mock draft.
Miami Dolphins | Dan Williams, DT - Tennessee Volunteers Dan Williams had a very good year and he really improved his 2010 NFL draft stock. The Dolphins use this pick to get younger and improve their D-Line. Williams is very talented an hasn’t received a lot of attention because of Suh and McCoy. Don’t let that fool you, he is very good and should be a top 15 pick in the upcoming 2010 NFL draft. Signing Karlos Dansby should really help Miami and by drafting Williams, the Miami defense should be very good next year.
